Postnatal Support & Care

There is so much focus on preparing you for the birth of your baby, but what happens once you’re home with your beautiful new baby?

Let’s face it, the NHS community midwives are stretched beyond capacity. You might have only one home visit and the next visit will be in a clinic, with most health visitors now offering a video consultation.

What happens to all those questions you need to ask, the reassurance you need to reinforce that you’re doing an amazing job as new parents, yes this is normal newborn behaviour.

As an Independent Midwife I can offer you a package of Postnatal support visits up to when your baby is 6 weeks old. These can be used in conjunction to your NHS appointments or instead of.

For example, rather than going to a Postnatal clinic on day 5 to get your baby weighed, your wound checked, stitches removed – these can all be done in the comfort of your own home.

You can choose to have a package of one, two, four or six weeks of Postnatal Support depending on your needs. Please see the Prices page for more details. I will always be available for you during this period either for a home visit if you need it or to go through things over the phone.
