My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Regina today. As first time parents we were extremely anxious when we were told that our 14 day old son may have tongue tie. I searched high and low for a tongue tie practitioner and it was Regina’s warm response that made me enquire further with her. I emailed her multiple times bombarding her with questions and we had a phone call with her where she patiently answered all our questions and gave us the reassurance we needed before booking with her. On the day Regina came to our home and went through any questions we had and thoroughly explained everything to us. She spent the time helping my wife with breast feeding with positioning and how to get a good latch. It was the first time our son fell asleep after being breast fed. She then checked him for tongue tie which he did have and then allowed us to make the decision on whether or not he should get division done. We wanted to get the division done and Regina done this swiftly and helped us throughout the entire experience. Overall we were impressed and reassured with the entire service from pre booking to the procedure. We couldn’t have asked for anything else and we were happy that we chose Regina for our son. Regina was so helpful to us in the early days when we really struggled with feeding. She offered email support before we even met and then came to the hospital at short notice to help initiate feeding of my son in NICU. She then continued to support us in person and by email/text and divided my son’s tongue tie in our home. He is now 4 months old and we are still EBF. I contacted a couple of lactation consultants and Regina was the speediest to respond and her kind voice made me feel comforted straight away. Spending a session with Regina I feel like I have spent the day at the library gaining so much knowledge about breastfeeding and newborn babies. As a new mum, I really wanted to establish breastfeeding - but most importantly make sure my baby was gaining weight as we had concerns with this and it was probably my biggest anxiety overall. Regina helped me when my confidence / energy was at a low point - both times she visited me at home, once to help me with increasing Annie’s weight and the other to help me taper down the pumping / formula top ups… she also provided support over text/calls in between - and just knowing there was someone expert I could contact really helped me.
