Questions about care
If you’re wondering whether I can help, you can start here. You’re always welcome to ask me directly, too.
Where I can come to you.
I’m based in Maidenhead. My usual home-visit area includes nearby Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire towns such as Ascot, Sunningdale, Henley-on-Thames, Marlow, Cookham, Bourne End, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross and Datchet.
I also continue to offer visits in Enfield, subject to availability. I may be able to travel towards the Surrey borders or West London. If you live somewhere else, send me your postcode and I’ll let you know what is possible.
Ask about your areaWhat if I live outside the places listed?
Please still get in touch. The towns are examples of where I may visit, rather than a strict boundary. I can check travel and availability once I know your postcode.
Do you offer visits at home?
Yes. I offer postnatal, feeding, tongue-tie, flange-fitting and midwifery appointments in your home, subject to location and availability.
What if I’m not sure which kind of support I need?
You don’t have to work that out alone. Tell me a little about what is happening, and we can talk through the most helpful starting point.
Can you help with flange fitting and pumping?
Yes. I can assess your flange fit, trial sizes and shapes with a hospital-grade pump, and discuss your pump choice and settings. A standalone fitting consultation is £100, or £30 alongside an existing appointment. This is a fitting appointment rather than a feeding assessment. I’ll share a link to order the recommended flange separately after the fitting. Wearable pumps are excluded from fitting trials, although I can recommend an insert. See flange fitting and pumping support and consultation fees.
Can you help with bottle feeding as well as breastfeeding?
Yes. I can look at the whole feeding picture with you, whether your baby is breastfed, bottle fed or both.
Does a tongue-tie assessment always mean a division?
No. I’ll first assess feeding and tongue function together. We’ll discuss the options, which may include feeding changes, watching and waiting, or frenulotomy when clinically appropriate.
Can I book just one antenatal or postnatal visit?
Yes. You can arrange a one-off appointment or a follow-up without choosing a full package. We can talk about what you need and decide on a useful starting point. See my antenatal fees and postnatal fees.
What is included in the complete midwifery package?
We begin with a two to three hour booking appointment and a personalised care plan. The package includes home antenatal appointments, birth and feeding preparation, on-call support from 37 weeks and postnatal care through six weeks after birth. We’ll discuss how support would work for your circumstances and chosen place of birth. Explore pregnancy and birth care.
Can I ask for support alongside my NHS care?
Yes. One-off antenatal and postnatal visits can sit alongside your NHS maternity care. Tell me what support you already have and what you would like more help with, so we can discuss how my visits could fit.
Do you offer remote support?
Yes. Standalone remote feeding sessions are available; please ask about suitability and fees.
Feeding and tongue-tie care includes four weeks of remote support by WhatsApp and email, so you can ask questions and let me know how things are going as you put your plan into practice.
With a postnatal care package, you can also keep in touch by WhatsApp, email or telephone between visits. I’ll explain the support included in your care before you book, and we can discuss a further home visit if you need one.
Do you offer overnight postnatal support?
Ask me about overnight postnatal care (the welcome home experience) if you would like support through those first hours at home. I’ll talk through the current arrangements, availability and fee with you before you decide. Ask about overnight care.
How do I ask about a package or fee?
You can see the current published appointment fees on the fees page. For newer feeding and overnight options, contact me and I’ll explain the current details before you book.
How do I send an enquiry?
Use the contact page to prepare a short message, then choose WhatsApp or email. You can edit the draft before sending it; the website does not send anything automatically.
Still have a question?
A short message is enough. Let me know what you need and where you are.
